Jason Mastbaum of California won his state’s premier Diplomacy tournament, the Whipping, on April 10th on the strength of his second game in which he shared a 17-17 two way with Washington State’s Matthew Crill. This year’s two-round event, put on by the Bay Area Diplomacy Association, was held virtually on Discord and Backstabbr due to pandemic concerns. Crill came in second, while Katie Gray of Indiana finished in third.
