At the 2022 World Dipcon held recently at the Carnage tournament in Vermont, the face-to-face championship was taken by Dan Lester from the United Kingdom. Lester had come in second twice, in 2009 and 2014, and had also run the event himself when the 2017 World Dipcon was held in Oxford, but had never taken the top prize himself. Coming in second was 2021 Diplomat of the Year Peter McNamara from Australia, with Peter Yeargin from Pennsylvania taking the third position. Tournament Director Dave Maletsky put on a wonderful event, which was attended by enthusiasts from all over the world of Diplomacy.
