A few changes from 2011:

We are optimistic about the return of the World Boardgaming Championships to the Grand Prix. This event was a staple of the Diplomacy circuit for many many years, but has not held Diplomacy the last few. There is some hope that Diplomacy will again be held at WBC this summer, and if it is the event will be included in the Grand Prix. Otherwise the schedule is similar to 2011.  Although final dates have not been announced for HuskyCon or for the San Francisco tournament, it appears that both events will be held.

There have been a few minor changes to the rules, which can be found here. The most significant is simply the provision that once an event it put on the schedule, it's qualification for the GP will not be contingent on the number of players that attend.

Once again this year, each player's cumulative score will be limited to his or her best four events. Players must compete in at least two events to be eligible to win the Grand Prix.

Good luck, and I look forward to seeing you at an event this year!
